The thought of negotiating back and forth and spending a day at the dealer sounded awful. However, when I contacted Mini, Damon replied immediately and set up a time for a test drive. We worked through a lot of information on the phone before I even arrived, and that is what I was looking for. After the test drive, we set down, went through options and there was no 'hassle'. I arrived a little before my appointment time (about 11:15) and was told that, with the car wash, it would be closer to an hour and a half. After two hours of waiting, I finally went back there and was told it was in line to be washed. I was tired of waiting and just had them give it to me. I left my office at 5pm to make sure I got there in plenty of time but I hit some bad traffic and did not make it into the shop until 5:45pm. I felt like the guys were pushing me out the door and did not care. My car was pulled up front and as soon as I noticed it was not washed I went to say something and the guy was gone! 3.0"The previous owner had brought the car in for an inspection prior to sell, he was told it was not needed as it was recently done when they changed a pump. I called to get wheels aligned and could not get it done till the next day. I drove in and they were able to do it without any arm twisting. The service manager looked up status on car a said oil had not been changed for over 20000 miles, because of that I asked for it to be done also. Later service manager came over and told me he made a mistake and it had been done less then 7000 miles... The other thing is the right High bean does not work as the motor does not work so it does not do what the left side does, if this had been caught the previous owner would pay for the replacement as I drove the car from the old owner to the dealership to get things done. I was pleased to be able to drive in and get the alignment done but would have been nice to know the high bean needed a motor or something and the oil change did not have to be done then, so overall experience can not be rated on the plus side." 3.0"My main issue with my experience with the Mini service department was regarding my scheduled appointment. I scheduled an appointment to drop my vehicle at 9:40 am. By 4pm I had not heard anything from the service department so I contacted them. I was told it had been a busy day and I had 21(?) vehicles in front of mine and mine was next up to be serviced. Therefore, I had to make arrangements for a ride home from work and back to the next day. I assumed since my appointment was at 9:40 am I would have my vehicle back that day or at least receive a courtesy call that I needed to make prior arrangements since my vehicle had not been addressed yet." Telling me that I would have to bring the car in for "four hours" to have my car computer reprogrammed because of an issue with the service light and the brakes is strange. 3.0"When I went in for my 30k service I had a rear license plate light bulb out that I told the service adviser needed to be changed but it wasn't. I had to come back the next day to have it replaced. He did apologize and said he checked with the tech who said he had forgotten to do it and apologized as well. Six days after my service I had a flat tire. The roadside service person was great. The first thing he asked while taking the spare out was when was my last scheduled service. I said last week to which he said that's good because one of the things they should have checked was the air pressure in the spare. Fortunately my husband came with his air compressor because when he checked the air pressure in the spare it had only 22 lbs but should have had 60lbs. If not for him being able to fill up the spare I would have traded one flat for another. The roadside service man showed us the set up on the spare which makes it easy to check the pressure. I am just thankful that the flat happened in town and not when I was traveling. Going back to the first scheduled service at 15k the window washer fluid was not filled. Checking fluids, checking air pressure in tires and making sure customer concerns are listened to and addressed should be a given. When these 'minor' issues are not being handled it makes me wonder if all of the required service items are actually being completed.
